ZiP’s Standard Comprehensive Warranty
ZiP’s Standard Comprehensive Warranty is valid for 1 year from the delivery of your eScooter or eBike. The warranty covers parts, standard shipping and labour for all major components (including motor, motor controller, fork, swing arm, rear shock and frame). The cost of the warranty is included in the PDI charge (see below) and covers all labour costs during the warranty period when repaired by ZiP.
The ZiP comprehensive warranty does not cover such parts including, but not limited to tires, tubes, plastic housings, seats, light bulbs, brake pads, pitting, rust, scratches and chips, or damage due to lack of maintenance, accident, misuse or abuse. Damage due to road salt, floods, fire and other foreign debris or chemicals are not covered by the comprehensive warranty.
Allow for at least 24 hours for warranty and estimate examination, and at least 5 business days for repair.
Battery Warranty
The warranty also includes a 6 month warranty on the original battery and charger from date of purchase, provided that they have been properly maintained as described in the eScooter or eBike user guide or demonstrated by ZiP Staff, and have not been subjected to freezing temperatures.
PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection)
ZiP EcoRide’s Standard Comprehensive Warranty is covered by the Pre-Delivery Inspection and Assembly Charge (PDI is $80 per eScooter or eBike). If PDI is not taken then there is no Standard Comprehensive Warranty Coverage. A three months Parts Warranty will be included with an additional charge for labour. Allow for a minimum of 24 hours for PDI/Assembly, at which time test and trial runs are conducted on the product to ensure all systems are safe and operable.
Free Inspection
All ZiP EcoRide customers are welcome to bring their eScooter or eBike back to the store for adjustments and inspections any time. There is no charge for this service.
Conditions Voiding ZiP’s Comprehensive Warranty.
Warranty is automatically void or cancelled if one or more of the following conditions apply:
- Your eScooter or eBike is taken to a not ZiP or EMMO certified dealer for repair, check up or for any other reason, during your warranty period.
- Parts are replaced or modification to the eScooter or eBike.
- The eScooter or eBike has been in a serious accident that’s affected the major components of the operation of the eScooter or eBike.
- The Tracking Identification Number is erased, scratched or removed from the frame of the eScooter or eBike.
- The Tracking ID Number does not match the ID number of the motor.
- There is evidence of abuse, misuse, and/or neglect to the eScooter or eBike.
- There is evidence that the damage to the eScooter or eBike is a result of exposure to floods, salt and other foreign debris or chemicals.
- The PDI/Assembly charges are not accepted at the time of purchase.

Return Policy
Products bought from ZiP EcoRide can be returned within 7 days in new and unused condition only. Customer must pay return shipping plus 15% restocking fee. The cost of the item minus the restocking fee is refunded once the product has been returned and is determined to be in new and unused condition. If the product has been used, ridden, or damaged while in the possession of the customer, the product cannot be exchanged or returned for future credit, unless authorized by ZiP EcoRide Corp. at a lower value than the purchase price.
Purchaser Responsibility and Risks Inherent to Operations
Purchaser understands the nature of riding E-Bikes and acknowledges that he or she is qualified to operate a E-bike as purchased from ZiP EcoRide Corp.. Person understands that they must abide by provincial laws to ride an eScooter or eBike. Purchaser is also responsible to inspect the eScooter or eBike before using it to make sure that the eScooter or eBike is safe to use and in riding order.
Operating an eScooter or eBike involves risks and dangers that may cause serious bodily injury. These risks and dangers also include but are not limited to paralysis, disability, dismemberment, and death. These inherent risks may be the result of purchaser’s own actions or non-actions involving: themselves, others, or specific circumstances of the activity occurring, or the neglect or negligence of themselves and or others. There may be other risks known or unknown to Purchaser. Purchaser assumes all risks and fully assumes and accepts responsibility for events that may not be foreseeable including economic loss, social distress, losses, costs, and damages caused as a result of person’s vehicle riding activities.
