A little bit of rain in the forecast didn’t deter the crowds at the first installment of Open Streets Uptown Waterloo on June 17th. A volunteer run event that promotes fun activities in Uptown Waterloo in a car-free environment, Open Streets events take place over 4 Sundays in the summer: June 17th, July 22nd, August 12th and September 16th.
The ZiP tent was set up at the corner of King and William St., a perfect location for riders to not only view our bikes and talk to ZiP Staff, but also take a test ride on 6 of our bikes available for sale.
In all, over 70 people took ZiP scooters for a test ride during the 3 hour event demonstrating that there is interest in this community for ebikes and escooters. Riders varied from teenagers over 16 to seniors and everyone in between.
Look for the ZiP tent again on July 22nd at the corner for King and William St. for the next Open Streets event.
